Argentinian international Roberto Pereyra signed for Watford in August 2016 from Italian giants Juventus. The midfielder is well known to Watford owner Gino Pozzo having spent three seasons with Udinese, who are also owned by the Pozzo Family, after joining the Serie A side from River Plate in 2011. Pereyra made 93 appearances in three seasons at Udinese, scoring eight times, before he earnt a loan move to Juventus in July 2014. The deal was to become permanent the following summer after an impressive debut season with the Old Lady. His second year with Juventus didn't go to plan and after a summer of speculation, Pereyra signed for Watford for a club record fee on the 12th August 2016 and the midfielder made his debut the following week against Arsenal. He came on as a half-time substitute and impressed, with the midfielder also scoring his first goal for the club in the same game.
