Watford have today signed Nottingham Forest midfielder Lewis McGugan on a three year contract for a bosman free transfer. The Hornets have the option of an extra year on the contract and he becomes the golden boys second signing after teenage striker Uche Ikpeazu. The 24 year old midfielder came through Forest's youth system and has played all of his proffesional career at the City ground. Since his debut in 2006, McGugan made 230 appearances for Forest scoring 44 goals some of them being spectacular. He scored an amazing free kick against Ipswich Town in the 2010/11 season as well as a spectacular 30 yard strike against the Hornets at Vicarage Road during the same season which flew straight into the top corner. He has been linked with many clubs including Premiership side Cardiff City, so the Hornets can find it a coup that they have fended off 'Significent interest' from a few clubs to sign the highly rated midfielder. He will now head out to Italy to join the rest of the Watford players on their pre season camp. Find below some links to you tube videos of some of the goals he has scored for forest. Welcome To Watford Lewis and we hope you enjoy your time here.
