Ipswich V Watford Match Preview.

20/12/2013 16:21

Watford travel to Portman road tommorow to play Ipswich Town in what will be Guiseppe Sannino's first game in charge. Ipswich currently lie in 10th position in the table with the Hornets languishing in 13th position after a run of nine games without a win. During the two games between these two sides last season, Ipswich ran out 1-0 winners at Vicarage Road in August whilst the Hornets won 2-0 at Portman Road in februrary thanks to goals from Ikechi Anya and Nathaniel Chalobah. Ipswich are managed by former Wolves manager Mick McCarthy who turned the East Anglian sides fortunes around last season. When McCarthy first came in at Ipswich, the club were in the relegation zone. However, McCarthy turned their fortunes around and Ipswich had an outside chance of the play offs at one point. Ipswich have had a decent start to the season and the form of David McGoldrick. McGoldrick has been the shining light within the Ipswich squad this season scoring 8 goals. The striker who had a loan spell at the club towards the end of last season, joined permanantly in the summer. If the Hornets are to have a good chance of winning tommorow, they need to ensure that McGodrick is kept quiet.

Team News.

For Ipswich, new signing Sylvain Ebanks Blake could make is debut for the club after signing on Thursday on a free transfer.Otherwise Mick McCarthy has a fully fit squad to choose from.
