Watford acted quickly to secure the signing of Stefeno Okaka from Anderlecht in August 2016, with the striker putting pen-to-paper on a five-year-contract at Vicarage Road. Okaka came through the ranks at Roma and was touted as one of their brightest prospects. He had a number of loan moves away from Roma during his time with the Italian club, which included a spell with Fulham in the Premier League during the 2010/11 season. He was to make 40 appearances for Roma in all competitions, before he moved to Parma in August 2012 following a successful loan spell with the club. Okaka signed for Belgian Pro League side Anderlecht in the summer of 2015 and the striker was to have a fruitful season in front of goal, with the Italian notching 17 goals in 47 appearances in all competitions. Following the departure of Matej Vydra in August 2016, Watford acted quickly to replace the Czech with the Italian striker and he made his debut as a second half substitute in the 4-2 win over West Ham in September. After an injury thwarted first few months at Vicarage Road, Okaka scored his first goals for the club during the 3-2 win over Everton in December
