Number 31 - Tommie Hoban

Defender Tommie Hoban, joined Watford from the club's academy in June 2012. Whilst undergoing his two-year scholarship with the Hornet's, he made his first-team debut coming on as a substitute for Martin Taylor against Preston North End on the last day of the 2010-11 season. The 2012/13 season was the season where Hoban really made his breakthrough. After coming into the side against Huddersfield Town at the end of September, Hoban kept his place in the side all the way up to January when he became injured. He made 19 appearances last season, scoring two goals and his impressive performances meant that he was awarded the Young Player Of The Season Award for the 2012/13 season. The injury sustained during the 2012/13 season, was to keep Hoban out for over a year, and he returned in February 2014, coming on as a second half substitute against Middlesbrough. Hoban was to be a first-team regular during the 2014/15 season, making 30 appearances, and his impressive form earned him the Young Player Of The Season award for the second time in three years. The defender has also been capped at Under 17, Under 19 and Under 21 level by the Republic of Ireland. On loan at Blackburn Rovers
