Number 15 - Craig Cathcart

Northern Ireland international Craig Cathcart initially joined Watford on a two-year-deal in July 2014 after leaving Blackpool. The defender was to sign a new four-year-deal with the Hornets the following summer, after becoming an important figure in the Watford side that earned promotion to the Premier League during the 2014/15 season. Cathcart started his career at Manchester United but he never made an appearance for the first team in his three seasons at the club. During all three years at United, Cathcart was loaned out to Royal Antwerp, Plymouth Argyle and Watford, where he made 13 appearances for Golden Boys during the 2009/10 season before his loan spell was cut short due to injury. In the summer of 2010, Cathcart joined Premier League newbie's Blackpool on a four-year-deal and he was a regular during his four-year stint with the Tangerines, making 112 appearances and scoring three times, experiencing regular Premier League and Championship football. He decided to leave Bloomfield Road at the end of his contract and the defender was to sign a two-year-deal with Watford in July 2014. Cathcart scored his first goal for the Hornets during his first appearance back in a Watford shirt, which came in the Hornets' 1-1 draw with Bournemouth at Vicarage Road. The Northern Ireland international went on to be a mainstay in the club's defence, making 30 appearances for the Golden Boy's and scoring three times, including a fabulous overhead volley against Birmingham. Cathcart was a reliable figure for the Hornets once again during the 2015/16 season, making 40 appearances and scoring once, helping Watford secure a 13th place finish in the Premier League.
