21/03/2014 17:35

Watford head to the DW Stadium tomorrow to play Wigan Athletic in the Sky Bet Championship in what should be a highly competitive match as Watford seek a first away win in nine matches. Wigan currently 5th position in the table and are currently one of the form teams in the divison after 6 wins and 1 draw in the previous 7 matches. Whereas, the Hornets lie in 11th position in the table 9 points outside the play offs but a win tomorrow could move them up 9th position depending on other results. During the match earlier this season at Vicarage Road, Watford ran out 1-0 winners after a excellent strike from substitute Cristian Battochio in the 82nd minute in what was a tight contest where chances were limited. Wigan are managed by former Brentford manager Uwe Rosler who took over the reigns in December 2013 after Owen Coyle was sacked as manager earlier on in the season. Rosler has transformed the Latics and has turned their season around after they were languishing in mid table before the German came in. Rosler has overseen an impressive run of form and has also guided the Latics to the FA Cup semi finals after they beat Manchester City 1-2 at the Etihad stadium. Josh McEachran should play against the hornets tomorrow in what will be his first appearance against the Hornets since his loan spell ended. McEachran had a loan spell with the Hornets earlier this season making 8 appearances. He put in somerather poor performances for the Hornets after starting off well with most Watford fans pleased to see the back off him. Their key players tomorrow will be wingers James McClean and Callum McManaman. McClean has been in excellent form in the previous weeks and the former Sunderland man scored two goals in last weekends victory over Ipswich. McManaman will also be key for Wigan tomorrow and the englishman is one of the best talents outside the Premier League. McManaman was influential in Wigans FA Cup Final victory over Manchester City at Wembley and ran City full back Gael Clichy ragged. Moreover, McManaman has scored 2 goals and has put in some impressive performances of late which has cemented his place among one of the biggest young talents outside of the Premier League.
