Watford V Nottingham Forest Match Preview.

23/08/2013 12:42

Watford play Nottingham Forest at Vicarage Road on Sunday at 1:15 in the Sky Bet Championship in a game that will be televised on Sky Sports. Forest are currently top of the table after three wins and three clean sheet whilst the Hornets lie in second place with two wins and a draw. During the two matches last season, the Hornets came out 2-0 winners in December at Vicarage Road thanks to 2 Matej Vydra goals and Watford won 3-0 at the city ground with Vydra and Troy Deeney scoring the goals. It should be a fantastic game at Vicarage Road as both teams like to get the ball down and play. The match will certainly be tougher than the Hornets last home game against Bounremouth in which they won 6-1. This will be the first time that Lewis McGugan has played against Forest since his move in the summer. McGugan joined the Hornets on a three year deal for a bosman fee from Forest after spending 7 years at the West Midlands side. The key players for Forest on Saturday will be Jamie Mackie and Andy Reid. Mackie has recently joined Forest from QPR and scored his first goal for the west midlands side in last weekends match against Bolton. Andy Reid will also be a key player for forest as well. Tricky winger Reid has started off this season in good style and scored in their recent win over Bolton. It looks set to be a great game at Vicarage Road.

Team News.

For the Hornets, Marco Cassetti should be avilable again after a foot injury ruled him out against Reading. Joel Ekstrand should also be fit after he limped off at Half time against Reading. The game may come soon for new signing Essaid Belkalem as he builds his fitness up. Diego Fabbrini could start up front after netting the winner against Reading. Tommie Hoban and Nyron Nosworthy are the only players ruled out as they recover from long term injuries.

For Nottingham Forest, Strikers Simon Cox and Darius Henderson are doubts as they recover from ankle and thigh injuries. This should see defender Greg Halford continue up front after impressing during their last game against Bolton.
