Watford V Burnley Match Preview.
Watford play promotion contenders Burnley tomorrow in the Sky Bet Championship as the Hornets look to build on their impressive home form since Beppe Sannino took charge of the Hornets. Watford currently lie in 12th position in the table 8th points of the play offs whilst Burnley currently lie in 2nd position with former Hornets manager Sean Dyche doing a sterling job with a small squad at his disposal. A win tomorrow for the golden boys and the Hornets could move up to 10th position only 5 points from the play offs if results go their way. During the match earlier this season at Turf Moor, the match ended in a 0-0 draw with Watford having the best chances of the match through midfielder Lewis McGugan. Burnley have had a very successful season in the Sky Bet Championship and the Clarets were not one of the promotion favorites among bookies before the season. They currently lie in 2nd position nine points clear of third placed QPR and the Clarets suffered their first defeat at Turf Moor last weekend in their 0-2 defeat to Leicester City. The form of influential strike duo Danny Ings and Sam Vokes has been key to the Clarets excellent season with Ings and Vokes with Ings scoring 25 goals in all competitions and Vokes scoring 21 goals. Former Watford manager and player Sean Dyche is the manager of Burnley and the 'Ginger Moruinho' should take a lot of credit for the sides impressive season. Dyche who was a former Watford player, was a member of the coaching set up for a few seasons before he was handed the role of first team manager before the start of the 2011/12 season. After a slow start to the campaign, the Hornets finished the season strongly and Dyche guided Watford to 11th place their best finish in the league since the 2007-08 season. However, Dyche was a victim of the Pozzo family takeover with the Italians sacking Dyche in order to bring in Gianfranco Zola who brought free flowing football to the Hornets last season. Dyche has gone on to develop in to one of the best managers in the league after his sacking from Watford however many Watford fans still have a strong rapport with the Burnley boss. One player among the Watford fans will know is Michael Kightly who is currently on loan to the clarets from Stoke. Kightly had a loan spell with the Hornets during the 2011-12 season where he was an instant hit among Watford fans where he made 12 appearances scoring 3 goals which came against Portsmouth, Leeds and Doncaster. If the contest between these two sides is anything to go buy the match last season at Vicarage Road, it will certainly be some match tomorrow.
For Watford, Marco Cassetti returns for the Hornets after missing out last weekends away victory over Sheffield Wednesday. Almen Abdi should be available again after coming through unscathed during his 30 minute appearance last weekend and during a friendly this week. Defender Fitz Hall could also be available for the Golden Boys. However, Lloyd Doyley is out for Watford alongside strikers Park Chu Young and Fernando Forestieri.
For Burnley, the Clarets are stretched to the limit and will be without 5 influential players for tomorrows match. Influential striker force Danny Ings and Sam Vokes are both out whilst Dean Marney is suspended. Right back Kieron Trippier is also out alongside Junior Stanislas.
