Watford V Birmingham Match Preview.

10/02/2014 17:52

Watford play Birmingham at Vicarage Road tomorrow in match in the Sky Bet Championship with the Hornets wanting to build on their previous two good results. Watford currently lie in 14th place but a win would move them up to 13th and one point behind Saturdays opposition Middlesbrough depending on results. Whereas, Birmingham currently lie in 18th position and a win over the Hornets would move them above Watford. During the match earlier this season at St Andrews, the Hornets ran out 1-0 winners thanks to Troy Deeneys early goal. Birmingham are managed by Lee Clark and it has been a difficult season for the Midlands side on the field and off it as well. With Blues owner Carson Yeung in court facing Money Laundering Charges, the stability of the Blues is rather uncertain with rumours of a takeover brewing for monthes. The Blues have picked up recently with a 2-0 win over Charlton at the weekend and a 3-3 draw with Derby two weeks ago showing that Tuesday night will yet again be a difficult game. The key player for Birmingham tomorrow night will be recent loan signing Fredirico Macheda. Macheda has hit the ground running with his new loan side scoring 3 times in his first two appearances for the club and he will be a danger for the Hornets defence. Hopefully the Hornets can pull off a good result tomorrow night.

Team News.

For Watford, Beppe Sannino has no new injury concerns. Park Chu Young should return to the matchday squad after missing saturdays game against Leicester with a slight problem. Samba Diakite, Tommie Hoban and Essaid Belkalem have all returned to training but the match will come too soon for them. Lewis McGugan and Almen Abdi are out.

For Birmingham, Mitch Hancox is available again for Birmingham. Lee Clark is expected to name an unchanged side for tomorrows match.
