Watford play AFC Bournemouth at Vicarage Road on Wednesday night in the second round of the Capital One Cup. This is the second time that these two clubs have played each other in three weeks. During the Sky Bet Championship clash three weeks ago on Saturday 10th Augsut, Watford ran out 6-1 winners at Vicarage Road. The result tells a different story to the actual match. Bournemouth played well during the first half and went deservedly went it at Half time on level terms with the Hornets. However, they simply could not live with the Hornets during the second half as they scored 5 goals, 3 of which were scored by Troy Deeney. Since this match, Bournemouth have beaten Wigan 1-0 at Dean Court and lost 5-1 to Huddersfield last weekend. Bournemouth got into the second round draw after a 1-0 win over Portsmouth. For Watford, Gianfranco Zola hopes that Joel Ekstrand will be fit enough to play. New signing from Granada Essaid Belkalem is expected to play a part in the match. Expect Zola to make changes to the side that faced Forest with the Italian resting key players for this weekends match against Blackpool.
