Their were rumours yesterday that the 'Championship Prospect' that the Watford Observer reported on Friday was Ikpeazu after a friend tweeted him saying good luck on his pre season tour with Watford in Italy. Then late last night, Ikpeazu announced that he has joined Watford. He said last night ' Evening, I just now want to clear the air and let everyone know i have joined Watford Football Club. I just want to use this moment to thank all the reading people right down to the fans. I'm not going to naswer any questions as to why but i am now looking forward to a new challenge. Thank you once again and hopefully i can do my best for the @Watfordfcsays FC'. Gianluca Nani described Uche as a 'Very Bright Prospect'. Reading fans were equally annoyed with the fact that one of their brighet prospects had left the club and joined the Hornets. Welcome to Watford Uche and we look forward to seeing you play.
On Saturday evening Udinese signed Javier Acuna and said that initially he will be moving to Watford on loan. Udinese signed the paraguay striker from Real Madrid B and the 25 year old has been on loan at Girona for the past two seasons making 56 appearances and scoring 21 goals. Crystal Palace, Nottingham Forest and Middlesbrough were all believed to be interested in Acuna. Acuna then confirmed the move a couple of hours via his twitter page. He said: 'Officially Watford player! On loan from Udinese. Happy with this new English Experience! Honestly more than Happy Thanks.' He then went on to say - ' And i hope the fans of Watford give everything as long and hope that each goal we can celebrate together'. Thanks. Trust Me. So it looks like Acuna is on his way although the Hornets are yet to announce the deal. Exciting times seem to be ahead for Watford FC.
