Referee for Manchester United game confirmed

10/02/2017 16:50

The referee for this weekend's away fixture against Manchester United has been confirmed by the Premier League.

Watford are looking to make it three wins in a row on Saturday, but they face a tough fixture against Jose Mourinho's Manchester United at Old Trafford and the fixture will be refereed by Bobby Madley.

Madley has already refereed the Hornets twice this season, both of which have ended in defeats for the Golden Boys. The West Yorkshire official has overseen Watford's 1-0 defeats to Stoke and Sunderland this season.

He sent off Watford's Miguel Britos during Stoke's victory over the Golden Boys back in November for two bookable offences.

The West Yorkshire official is one of the relatively newer top-flight referees, having taken charge of matches in the Premier League since 2013.

This season, Madley has refereed 20 matches in all competitions, handing out 89 yellow cards and 3 red.
