Referee for Crystal Palace match confirmed
The referee for this weekend's Premier League fixture against Crystal Palace has been announced.
The match, which will take place at Selhurst Park, will be refereed by Martin Atkinson from West Yorkshire.
Atkinson has refereed the Hornets twice already this season, with the Golden Boys having contrasting fortunes in both matches. He was the man-in-the-middle for Watford's sensational 4-2 win over West Ham earlier this season in the Premier League, while he was also in charge of the Hornets' dismal defeat to Millwall in the FA Cup in January.
Coincidentally, Atkinson was also the referee when both Watford and Crystal Palace met in the Play-Off Final at Wembley in May 2013.
The West Yorkshire official is an experienced top-flight referee, having taken charge of matches in the Premier League for the past 12 years. He was also one of two English officials who refereed at Euro 2016 in France last summer.
This season, Atkinson has taken charge of 31 matches in all competitions, handing out 109 yellow cards and 2 red.
