Referee for Crystal Palace match confirmed
The referee for Watford's Boxing Day clash with Crystal Palace has been announced by the Premier League.
The match, which will take place at Vicarage Road and will be Sam Allardyce's first game as Crystal Palace manager, will be refereed by Mark Clattenburg.
Clattenburg last refereed the Hornets just over a year ago, when he was the man-in-the-middle for Watford's 3-0 win over Liverpool at Vicarage Road in December 2015. He also refereed the Hornets' 2-0 defeat to Manchester City last season as well.
The Durham official is widely considered to be England's best referee, with Clattenburg refereeing the Champions League and Euro 2016 finals earlier this year. He has taken charge of matches in the Premier League since 2004.
This season, Clattenburg has refereed 18 matches in all competitions, handing out 67 yellow cards and three red.
