Middlesbrough V Watford Match Preview.

08/11/2013 15:40

Watford travel to the Riverside stadium tomorrow to play Middlesbrough in the Sky Bet Championsip. The Hornets currently lay in 7th place in the table but have only won one of their last five matches whilst Middlesbrough lie in 16th position. Depending on results, the Hornets could move up to 5th place in the table. In the two matches between these two sides last season Middlesbrough ran out 2-1 winners at Vicarage Road in October in a match which was decided by the controversial sending off of Matej Vydra by ref Steven Rushton whilst the score was 1-1 and The Hornets beat Middlesbrough 2-0 at the Riverside in January. Mark Venus is in temporary charage at Middlesbrough at the moment after Tony Mowbary left his post after a dissapointing start to the season. Boro's danger man will be winger Albert Adomah. Signed in the summer from Bristol City by Mowbary, Adomah has been in fine form this season scoring six goals in the process and will be a real danger for the Hornets defence tomorrow.

Team News.

For Middlesbrough, Caretaker boss Mark Venus has a fully fit squad for the visit of the Hornets. Defender Jonathan Woodgate should keep his place in the side.

For Watford, the Hornets could give a debut to midfielder George Thorne who signed for the hornets on loan from West Brom in the week. Joel Ekstrand is a doubt with a groin injury. Nyron Nosworthy is not fit enough to return yet. Almen Abdi and Tommie Hoban are still out.
