Leicester V Watford Match Preview.
Watford head to the King Power Stadium tomorrow to play the Sky Bet Championship leaders Leicester City in a game which will be the feature game on the BBC's Football League Show. Watford currently lie in 13th position in the table with two games in hand over most of the division, whilst Leicester currently sit top of the pile 10 points above second place QPR. During the match earlier this season at Vicarage Road, Watford were resoundingly beaten 0-3 by Leicester thanks to goals from Chris Wood, Anthony Knockhaert and Lloyd Dyer in what was a poor performance from the Hornets who know that they didnt perform their best at all. Leicester are managed by Nigel Pearson who has done a excellent job since his return to the club in the 2011/12 season. Pearson guided the foxes to the play offs last season and were knocked out by the Hornets in the second lef of the semi final which will be remembered for many reasons. The Foxes have put their play off heartache behind them this season and a run of 9 wins in a role has seen them cement their place at the top of the league. Pearson bought in two new signings in the summer transfer window one of which will be well known to Watford fans. Leicester signed striker Kevin Phillips on a free transfer after his contract was cancelled at Crystal Palace. Phillips used to play for the Hornets and scored the winning goal from the penalty spot in extra time of the play off final at Wembley for Crystal Palace against the Hornets as the Eagles were promoted to the premier league. They also signed Algerian winger Riyad Mahrez. The danger man for Leicester tomorrow will be striker David Nugent who always seems to score against the Hornets. The striker has 17 goals to his name this season and has shined for the Foxes this season. It will be a difficult test for the Hornets tomorrow as they hope to build on last weeks win over Brighton.
For Leicester, Arsenal loanee Ignasi Miquel could return from a thigh strain. Kevin Phillips is pushing for a start after scoring the winner in the Foxes 1-0 win over Bournemouth.
For Watford, the Hornets are without the services of Almen Abdi, Lewis McGugan and Essaid Belkalem who miss out through injury. Daniel Tozser could also keep his place in the side after an impressive debut last week.
