Huddersfield V Watford Match Preview.

04/10/2013 17:12

Watford head to the John Smiths Stadium tommorow to play Huddersfield tommorow in the Sky Bet Championship in the last match before the International Break. Watford currently lie in 7th in Championship table whilst Huddersfield lie in 9th. The Hornets did the double over Huddersfield last season with a 3-2 win over the Yorkshire side at the John Smith stadium in September and a 4-0 win at Vicarage Road in January. Huddersfield are managed by Mark Robins and the yorkshire side finished in 18th last season during their first season back in the Championship. A familiar face is among the Huddersfield squad and that face is Jonathan Hogg. Hogg joined Huddersfield over the summer after asking to leave the Hornets so that he could move closer to his family. Hogg joined the Hornets in August 2011 and made 78 appearances for the Hornets before joining the Yorkshire side over the summer. He was a near ever present in both seasons at Vicarage Road and will be fondly remembered for setting up that Troy Deeney goal against Leicester in the play offs. Huddersfields danger man tommorow will be James Vaughan. Vaughan is the Championships top scorer with 9 goals in the league this season. He has been in brilliant form since the start of the season so if the Hornets back three manage to keep him quiet, than Watford stand a good chance of winning.

Team News.

For Huddersfield, the yorkshire side have no new injury concerns. Youngster Duane Holmes could be awarded his first start after an impressive substitute appearance against Blackpool whilst Danny Ward is available again.

For the Hornets, Cristian Battochio and Javier Acuna are doubts due to foot and ankle problems sustained in the 1-0 defeat to Blackburn in midweek. Almen Abdi is still out with a foot problem but should be fit for after the International Break. Tommie Hoban and Nyron Nosworthy are also still out.
