Watford yesterday (Friday 7th June 2013) released seven players whose contracts are expiring at the end of the month. Goalkeeper Jack Bonham, Defender Aaron Tumwa and Midfielders Mark Yeates, Stephen Mcginn, Prince Buaben, Piero Mingoia and Stephen Hamilton - Forbes. These players join Chris Iwelumo who has already joined Scunthorpe United. Read More About Each Player Below:

Jack Bonham (Goalkeeper) - Bonham only made one appearance for the Hornets since he became a pro at the start of the 11/12 season. This came in the 2-1 defeat to Leeds on the final day of the 2012/13 season when he came on for the injured Jonathan Bond. Bonham was not scheduled to be around the squad. He has been the third choice keeper for the hornets and has been on the bench sometimes during the 12/13 and 11/12 seasons.

Aaron Tumwa (Defender) - Tumwa never made an appearance for the Hornets since signing a one year pro deal last summer. The only match action he got this season was whilst he was on loan at Wealdstone.

Mark Yeates (Midfielder)  - Yeates is probably the surprise name on the released list. Since joining the club from Sheffield United during the summer transfer window in the 2011/12 season, Yeates has made 66 appeareances ( 49 of those starts) for the Golden Boys scoring 7 goals. He has improved over the course of the season since Gianfranco Zola moved him into the centre of the midfield. He made 30 appearences for the Golden Boys this season with 19 of them being starts.

Stephen Mcginn (Midfielder) - Scottish Midfielder Stephen Mcginn has ended his 3 and a half year stay with the Hornets. Bought in January 2010 by Malkay Mackay, Mcginn made 42 appearances for the Golden Boys (29 of those being starts) and scored twice. He was touted as one for the future when Mackay bought him and really floruished in the 2010/11 season until a serious injury ended his season in February 2011 against Doncaster. This injury ruled him out for the rest of ther 10/11 season as well as the 11/12 season. The only match action Mcginn got this season was a loan spell at Shrewsbury Town from January till the end of the season.

Prince Buaben (Midfielder) - Buabens stay at Watford has been blighted with injury since he joined from Dundee United in the summer of 2011. This season has been a write off for Buaben as he only made one substitue appearence against Hull in April 2013. He impressed during the 2011/12 season under Sean Dyche and made some superb appearances espceially on his home debut against Peterborough and the FA Cup tie against Tottenham Hotspur. He has made 33 appearances for the Golden Boys (22 of those being starts) and scored 1 goal.

Piero Mingoia (Midfielder) - Mingoia joined the club from the Watford Academy during the summer of the 2010 season. He has not been able to make an effect on the side as he has only made 7 appearances for the Golden Boys ( 4 of those being starts) scoring once on his debut against Hartlepool. He has been out on loan frequently. Last season he went out on loan to Brentford and Hayes and Yeading and this season he went out on loan to Accrington Stanley and Borham Wood.

Stephen Hamilton- Forbes - (Midfielder) - Hamitlon Forbes never made an appearance for the golden boys since signing a pro deal with the hornets last summer. His only match action was a loan spell at Havent and Waterlooville earlier this season.

Good Luck to all of the released players for the rest of their careers.
