Yesterday (Thursday 7th March 2013) Striker Troy Deeney signed a new three and a half year deal lasting until 2016 with the Hornets. He was signed by Malky Makay during the summer of 2010 and has made 114 appearences for the club scoring 29 goals for the Hornets. Malky Mackay bought him in 2010 and he scored three goals for the hornets. He was played mostly on the wing during his first season at the club rather than as a striker. Fans didnt really think he was a striker but saw that his work ethic was brilliant. But last season and this season their opinions have changed and Deeney has become a inegral part of the team. Last season he scored 12 goals for the Hornets and finished top scorer collecting the goal of the season award as well. But Deeney was sent to Prision for 10 monthes during June and many fans thought that it was the end of his Watford career. But the club stood by him and he was released in September 2012 for good behaviour. He made his comeback as a substitute during the 2-2 draw against Bristol City. He scored on his first start a week later in the 3-2 win over Huddersfield. He hasnt looked back since then and has currently scored 14 goals for the club this season and has recently captained the club. Deeney has built up a good relationship with fans as well this season with fans chanting "DEENEY DEENEY" when he scores. Keep Up The Good Work Troy!!!!

In other news yesterday, Ross Jenkins joined Barnet on a one month loan.
