22 year old Defender Reece Brown and second year academy scholar Alex Jakubiak both went out on loan this week to gain some experience. Defender Reece Brown joined league one side Carlisle United on tuesday as the young defender aims to seek some experience after strugling to get in to the Hornets defence this season. After starting his career at Manchester United, he was released in the summer after various loan spells away from Old Trafford and joined the Hornets on a two year deal after a trial. He has made 3 appearances for the Hornets this season and has found it difficult to break into the Hornets defence this season. It would seem a good opportunity for Brown to get some much needed game time as he looks to impress in order to achieve a place in the starting lineup next season especially with his contract expiring at the end of the 2014/15 season.

Also, second year scholar Alex Jakubiak also went out on loan this week with the young striker joining Watford striker Bernard Mensah on loan at Skrill Premier side Braintree Town. The young striker has been in prolific form for the academy side this season and looks destined to be signed up to be a proffesional next season. Jakubiak has already hit the ground running at Braintree as he scored on his debut for the club. Good luck to Reece and Alex!
