Yesterdays match (Boxing Day) at Bristol City's Ashton Gate was called off a 3:15 due to a waterlogged pitch. Fnas and media reported that the pitch looked fine 1 hour before the match but a heavy downpour meant that the pitch was too bad to play on. Referee Michael Naylor took the decision at 3:15 to postpone the match and Bristol City manager Derek Mciniss and hornets boss Gianfranco Zola both agreed that the decision was the right one. It was a bad trip for the 700 watford fans who made the 250 mile round trip to Bristol to see the hornets. Still they did get some pleasure as Matej Vydra, Jonathan Hogg and Ikechi Anya both did slides in the water that was building up in front of the hornets fans. Also all of the sqaud threw their shirts into the crowd so that the trip was worthwile. The new date for the fixture has not been confirmed yet but i will bring the news too you when the news breaks. Even though the hornets did not play, they still lie in 6th in the table due to other results.
