Yesterday (Wednesday 12th June 2013) goalkeeper Jack Bonham joined league one side Brentford on a free transfer. The 19 year old goalkeeper was confirmed as one of the seven players to be released by the Hornets last week and has now joined the league one side Brentford. He will be joined at the league one side by ex watford goalkeeper Richard Lee. Bonham joined the Hornets from the Watford academy and became a proffesional at the start of the 2011/12 season. He only made one appearance for the Hornets in his two year proffesional stay at the club which came in the 2-1 defeat to Leeds United on the final day of this season. He wasnt even meant to be in the sqaud an hour before kick off but injuries to Manuel Almunia and Jonathan Bond meant he was thrust in to the action in the 20th minute of the match. According to Brentfords website, the Republic Of Ireland goalkeeper impressed during a two week trial at the bees which persuaded them to buy the young keeper. He will hope to rival current goalkeepers Simon Moore and Richard Lee for a starting spot. Good Luck Jack!!!!
