Bond signs new contract.
Yesterday (Thursday 27th June 2013), Jonathan Bond signed a new three year contract at the club which will keep him at Watford until the summer of 2016. His original deal was set to expire this summer but the 19 year old academy graduate has signed a new deal. The 2012/13 season was the season when Bond really made his debut. After 2 appearances during the 2011/12 season, Bond made 10 appearances for the Golden Boys; seven of which were in the Championship. He stepped in when Manuel Almunia was injured and made some impressive displays in the Hornets goal. He also started the FA Cup match against Manchester City and the Capital One Cup match against Bradford City. He is highly rated at the club and Hornets fans saw the potential that he has this season with some impressive saves and games in the Hornets goal. Now he has signed a new deal, Bond will want to push on again this season and challenge for the number 1 spot.
