Blackpool 2 - 2 Watford Match Report.
Honours were even at Bloomfield Road yesterday after Watford drew away to Blackpool. After a blistering start which saw the hornets 2-0 after 21 minutes, Blackpool came roaring back and Isaih Osbourne scored the all important equaliser in the 90th Minute to send Watford back home with 1 point. Gianfranco Zola made 4 changes to the side that beat Wolves 2-1 last weekend. Out was Lloyd Doyley (Injury), Jonathan Hogg (Suspension), Marco Cassetti and Fernando Forestieri. In came Fitz Hall after a 3 week absence through injury, Cristian Battochio to make his first start, Ikechi Anya and top scorer Matej Vydra. After 4 minutes Watford found themselves 1-0 and was had the accolade of scoring the quikcest goal in the championship on Saturday. Captain and Goalkeeper Manuel Almunia gathered the ball from a corner and instantly threw the ball to Cristian Battochio who then took a touch and played a delightful ball to Matej Vydra. Vydra then played in Ikechi Anya who calmly placed the ball into Gilks goals to put the Orns 1-0 up. This was Anya's second goal for the hornents and 1st in the league. Three minutes later and Watford nearly made it 2 when Ludoivic Sylvestre cleared Matej Vydra's goal bound attempt. On 21 minutes Watford went 2-0 up. Mark Yeates played a free kick into the box and the ball broke for Troy Deeney to hammer the ball in to the net to make it 2-0 scoring his 5th goal of the season and his 3rd in three matches. Watford were dominating the first half and nearly made it three in first half stoppage time when Mark Yeates shot rippled the side netting. Tom Ince nearly halved the defecit in first half stoppage time when his weaving run forced Manuel Almunia to make a smart save.

Ince had the first chance of the second half when he fired at goal but again Almunia saved well. But seven minutes into the second half Blackpool clawed a goal back. The Watford defence failed to clear and the ball broke to Chris Basham who played the ball across goal for former Orn Kevin Phillips who had a simple finish to make it 1-2. Ikechi Anya went off on the hour due to an injury with Marco Cassetti taking his spot. Blackpool pressurised Watford throughout the second half and Tiago Gomes shot went over on 72 minutes. Blackpool came even closer in the 75th minute went Tom Ince beat Daniel Pudil and cut inside to hit a curling shot which hit the Watford crossbar. Soon after, Almunia made another good save to deny debutant Wes Thomas from scoring. The impressive Mark Yeates was substituted for Sean Murray and Forestieri came on for Vydra in the 82nd Minute. But in the second minute of stoppage time, substitute Isiah Osborune claimed a point for the tangerines as his curling shot beat hornets keeper Manuel Almunia from 20 yards. However, Watford should be pleased with a point after their second half showing after Blackpool were all over the Orns who were not the same side that went into half time 0-2 up.
