Barnsley V Watford Match Preview.
Watford travel to Oakwell today in the Sky Bet Championship to play Barnsley who currently sit in the relegation zone whilst Watford lie in 6th position. The game today pits the worst defence in the league (17 goals conceded Barnsley) against the best attacking side in the leage in the Hornets who have scored the most goals in the league. During the two matches last season between these two sides, Watford beat Barnsley 4-1 at Vicarage Road in December 2012, whilst Barnsley beat the Hornets 1-0 in March 2013 at Oakwell. Barnsley are managed by David Flitcroft who guided the Yorkshire Club to Safety on the final day of the 2012/13 season. The Tykes star player is front man Chris O Grady. O Grady who was initialy signed on loan from Sheffied Wednesday made the move permanant in the summer after impressing massivley. This season, O Grady has scored 4 goals the last of which came in last weekends 3-2 defeat to Nottingham Forest.
For Barnsley, Stephen Dawson, Jim O Brien and Tomasz Cywka all face late fitness tests. Cywka is carrying a calf strain whilst Dawson was elbowed in the face and O Brien is carrying a knee injury.
For Watford, Almen Abdi is out with the same foot injury that kept him out against Charlton and Doncaster. Nyron Nosworthy returned to training this week but is not fit to play. Long term absentee Tommie Hoban is also out of the match
